After serving in various technical and managerial roles at the SCDHEC and at private environmental consulting firms, Tom and a business partner founded EnviroSouth in 2001. The vision of the new venture was to provide services in a manner that would always put the best interests of clients first. Tom’s ethical leadership has resulted in numerous long-term clients who know that they will always be provided with the highest quality of service at a fair cost.

Tom is a licensed Professional Geologist in South Carolina and North Carolina. While being raised in a very rural area of western New York, Tom has always had an interest in the natural sciences. After graduating with B.S. and M.S. degrees in Geology from The University of Buffalo and Miami University (Ohio), Tom began his career in the environmental field as a hydrogeologist, then manager at the SCDHEC. The experiences at the SCDHEC provided Tom with invaluable preparation for his future career in Environmental Consulting. In his free time, Tom loves woodworking, hiking, and spending time with family.
